Boy, I am impressed that you come from a politically rich family and raised your kids to be politically conscious in a humane way and not the Tea Party way. There is all the more reason you should not harp as much that you are liberal as much as Obama does not harp on his African American race/roots. In politics, we know that the people are smart enough to know who you are either by looking at you (as in Obama's case) or what your political philosophy is from your writings (as is the case with you).

When I ran for the School Board in my city, I was told by my Democratic party bigwigs to never mention my race for as they said "they can see you".
