I know its a 3rd rail. The folks receiving government transfer payments are now such a large constituency, that it will be impossible to roll those benefits back. We're becoming exactly like Greece. It was Socrates, I believe, who said that as soon as the people know they can vote themselves a paycheck, that Democracy would come into decline.

Well, it's happening here now. The old people have voted themselves a paycheck that comes from future generations and it will literally destroy the viability of our economy. Welcome to hell. There's no turning back now.
