"if I wrote the Amati story" Pat, PLEASE, write the story! Your prodigious literary talent has been one of the primary reasons I (and I'm sure many others) have religiously followed this thread! And sign me up in advance for a copy (at a "reasonable" "standard" price, of course). You could publish it in installments (a la Charles D.) here--keeping the thread alive well beyond the date of its namesake's absorption by TI. It would definitely make the SI best sellers list (possibly beating out the yet-to-be published Bre-X Saga, if somehow you were able to work into the tale an Amati employee getting pushed out of a helicopter--make that a Lira Jet). At the very least, it would capture all the details now (while they're still pinned to your mental corkboard) and thereby allow you to free up some cork surface for use with your next investment (& SI?) adventure. And then you wouldn't have to rely on recall when, as you say, down the road, you fall into reminiscing with other Amati literati. "Please, please, say you will!"
