Thank you, Shalom, but I wonder if your heart was equally warmed by my negative reaction to David's post? I find extremism in any form a very troublng trait.
Any belief that exists without doubt or frequent reevaluation and that isn't open to discussion and question isn't a belief-it's a lazy attempt to divest oneself of the responsibility of thought. That goes for David OR Paul. Or any of us.
I enjoy the energetic and most emphatically NOT lazy thinkers on this thread: the topics are far reaching, the opinions original, the writing excellent and humor abounds. I repeat what I said to you earlier--put down the Bible, come play for a little! It's really O.K.!
Unfortunately, the coffee was a little bitter this morning!
