there are huge disparities based on geographical location exactly how much $36,000 buys. money buys more in poor areas. areas are poor because they have little trade. little trade happens mainly during war and periods of socialism/communism, where production is difficult. free trade makes areas wealthy, and nations that have free trade become wealthy and have strong currencies. so, the disparities are real, but they are also natural. they can't be forced to equality. i know you didn't say anything about forcing equality. but that's what many people think and want. forcing equality has to be rejected, because as you know, that's socialism/communism.
