Well gee, of course individual conservative voters want more of their own money and want to maintain more power over their lives. But they want their government (and therefore their own representatives) to have less power and less money so that individuals retain more of their own power and money.

but I do understand your thinking on this. Let's invert what you wrote:

Liberals want more of their money to go to the government, (you moron!). Therefore, they want less money. They want the government to have the power to force that, therefore the liberal individuals want less power.

Yup, that seems to fit. Liberals want mommy and daddy to take care of them so that they never have to worry about providing for themselves. The only way to make that happen is to give mommy and daddy (the government) enough power to take resources from productive people to provide for poor little helpless bentway.

I think you might ask mommy and daddy to change your diaper now. It seems to be full of something.
