You didn't ask me, but I'm volunteering. The Sony/Fuji drive looks like it could be a really good product. But it isn't for sale yet. One working prototype does not a working product make.

In the meanwhile, Zip sales continue to accelerate. Sony would like to get a bunch of computer makers to agree to use their new drive as a standard, but so far they haven't made much headway. Soon, the question won't be whether a drive is compatible with the 1.44MB floppy, but whether it's compatible with the Zip.

And if they need to, Iomega can alway introduce the 200MB Zip.
