Brunello is one of those wines where quality and price tend to go hand in hand. It's not usually the wine you go choose when searching for super values. That is why we are so excited about today's offer. This deal allows us to provide a superlative wine at a price rarely seen for any Brunello, let alone one of this caliber!

The 2005 Pertimali Brunello received not one, but two fantastic scores from two of the most important sources for reviews in the industry. Both the Wine Advocate and the Wine Spectator scored this Brunello 93 points! Spectator called it a "rich and decadent Brunello" while Galloni gushed that it is a "fabulous 2005". Those are very strong words of praise for a wine, let alone one that we can offer at this price point. The Wine Spectator listed a release price on this of $50 on this wine, as of this morning the best price on WineSearcher is $39.99. Those are not bad prices to pay for a wine of this quality... but we're offering it today for $29.98!

Pertamali is a name you should be familiar with. This estate has a long history of producing phenomenal Brunellos, Rossos, and Super Tuscans in Montalcino. Pertamali will produce a Riserva in certain vintages. The best part about this wine is that they did not make a Riserva wine in 2005. What does this mean? Well, it means that the best fruit is not removed from the regular Brunello but is instead the core of this wine!

This offer could not come at a more opportune time. The holidays are right around the corner. This wine has the double benefit that it can serve as both a beautiful choice for the holiday meal or as a wonderful gift. This Brunello has just entered into it's drinking window so it's ready to go but still has a long life ahead. Any discerning wine collector would love to add this to their Italian collection.

So here it is as promised, a really big Brunello offer. Double 93 point scores for an incredible $29.98 price!

Product Reviews:

"A rich and decadent Brunello, with tobacco, berry and coffee character that turns to meat. Full and soft. Best after 2010." 93 Points - Wine Spectator

"The 2005 Brunello di Montalcino is seriously dark, rich and intense. Black cherries, underbrush, new leather and licorice all come together in a sensual, powerful expression of Sangiovese. There is surprising depth to the round fruit. Though delicious today, this is one of the few 2005 Brunellos that needs bottle age for some of the tannins to soften. It is a fabulous 2005. There will be no Riserva in 2005 as Sassetti used all of the best fruit for the regular bottling. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2023." 93 Points - Antonio Galloni - The Wine Advocate
