Jack,

Oddly enough I kind of look at Intel as a defensive play with this crazy market seeing and sawing.I think the only danger is a major split in the wintel monopoly.(Rumors a while back of MSFT buying AAPL)But INTC has products lined up one after another for the next couple years and what I think they're trying to do is speed up the product cycle (and thus products become obsolete sooner). And of course any breakthrough in bandwidth would send the techs soaring.Wintel is perfectly positioned to exploit it,too. But you right no one in tech is safe from the old end play.

It's amazing how each month Cyrix gets glowing reviews on its processors outperforming INTC for less money.Yet its share price is steadily dropping and when I advise friends looking for a computer about the 6x86,then still want Intel Inside. How's AMD going?Do they have production back on track?

Boy,it seems the Entertainment Center industry is just exploding. The latest entry which seems compelling on first glance is Skyline Multimedia(SKYL) which is opening in Times Sq.,then Woodfield. In the slight event you haven't heard of it,check my last post to Marshall.Gotto visit that one!Sounds like fun.

Thanks for the Imax news .I really like that one long-term but then on the IMAX AOL MF thread I just read a post about New Visual Entertainment (SLWC on the NASDAQ BB) that claims SLWC has a patent to produce 3D much cheaper than IMAX can.Have you heard of those guys? Now I need to check them out.Jack, please stop me before I buy MORE entertainment stocks!!!!Seriously, besides the overcrowding and leapfrogging problems in the Industry its getting awfully time consuming tracking whats happening and I suspect I'm not doing that bang up of a job on it.You mentioned some Entertainment publications you get, mind repeating them?(as well as any other mags, etc that cover the industry well)

South Coast's scheduled to open 3Q '97 with 15,000 sq.ft. and 300 seats,roughly MOA's size.

Regards,
Dennis
