November 19, 1997 More Leticia Drill Results Symbol: MAD.V
Form 20F: 0-27760

The Company wishes to announce that it has received results from Pacific Rim Mining Corp. regarding reverse circulation drill holes LT 97-7 through LT 97-12, six of twenty-one drill holes on the Leticia Project, Guerrero, Mexico. Pacific Rim Mining Corp. can earn a 51% interest in Leticia by producing a positive bankable feasibility study for the joint venture with Miranda Industries. Leticia is a gold prospect with gold occurring in skarn and intrusive-related targets.

Drill holes LT 97-8 averaged 0.724 g/t gold over 30 feet, averaging 0.724 starting at a depth of 110 feet. LT 97-9 intercepts are as follows: 260 to 275 feet averaging 2.32 g/t gold and 305 to 325 feet averaging 0.723 g/t gold. LT 97-12 intercepted 0.643 g/t gold from 125 to 135 feet. There were no other intercepts of mineralization in excess of 0.35 g/t gold.

Pacific Rim is currently completing the drilling, compilation and interpretation of holes LT 97-13 to LT 97-21. These results will be used along with the results from the remaining holes to form the basis of future work on the project.

Miranda is still waiting for exploration results on the La Rastra project from Prospectores Minerales Mexico, S.A. de C.V., a wholly-owned Mexican subsidiary of Eldorado Corporation Ltd.
