Dave - For me, confirmation is the same as any others in that I like to see a volume "kick" and more than one days price move to confirm an uptrend. I think it would be dangerous to just buy these gappers without other confirmations. Much like the "cup-and-handle" or MIMBO formations, volume and further price moves are generally needed to confirm. By the way, I've enjoyed your posts, especially when you were drawing trend lines.
