Are you surprised by the recent strength in Oil?

I am especially if the U.S, and the World are heading into a recession? I am not too sure if the hedge funds are playing around with leverage ( oil commodity) future contracts and/or some type of manipulations. Perhaps it has to do with Iran and Israel and a potential perceived conflict in the Middle East.

There seems to always be something and remember we have the debt committee that reports back to Congress towards the end of November (I believe it is before Nov Option Expiration). The rumor on the street is they are at an impasse with either party not willing to budge. There were hopes of $4T over 10 years deficit cuts. I do not think Mr. Market will let Congress "kick the can" down the road any longer.
