On the day you sell your shares, you can walk them down or Fed Ex the certs to your broker. It's the sell analogy to getting the cash to the broker within 3 business days of buying.

BTW, you could sell them straight up to your neighbor and both can save the commish.

AND THAT IS WHY BROKERS DON'T WANT YOU TO GET YOUR CERTS AND GIVE YOU ALL KINDS OF BS ABOUT IT BEING A HASSLE...THEY KNOW ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR CERTS YOU CAN SIMPLY GO TO ANOTHER BROKER.
