Larry: What's your take on the news item this morning that the Korean finance minister is asking for about $10B from the US to help them thro' the current financial crisis? Given that aid from the US currently looks unlikely, and that the Japanese (alternative source of assistance for Koreans) are not doing too great, how will it affect the chip market (Given that semis and electronics probably represents the largest segment of intense capital investment for the Koreans).

I think that if the Koreans drastically cut production, we might see a repeat of the scenario from early 95 when supply kept lagging demand. May be the fundamentals are going through a fundamental shift.

Best Regards,

Sridhar
