I like Newt and Cain too, but I wish they could recombine their DNA somehow.

Cain is terrific. A man who understands business and who made his own way, street-smart and with lots of common sense with an admirable personality. The problem is he apparently knows zip about the world outside the US. IMO that's a huge handicap, maybe a fatal one, in this day and age.

Newt in contrast understands world affairs and how it works - everyone would admit he has that stuff down cold. But he just isn't as attractive a guy as Cain IMO. And he also suffers from being a career politician.

Maybe a Cain/Newt ticket? Cain could run things domestically and Newt could whisper in his ear what to do when it came to foreign policy.

But I increasingly get the sinking feeling it's going to be Romney - only slightly more conservative than Obama. And who knows what he really believes - if anything?
