Comparing two charts of the Taiwan Stock Index

The first is a normal 2year daily bar chart on the Taiwan stock index. Note the frequent changes in market direction because of the volatilities.



This second chart is one using the Renko technique in filtering out the volatilities, where a move of less than 200 points is ignored. It shows that the index is in a trading range of 7200 -- 7800.
