<Why does yahoo use 71.6 million shares when the actual is 85.6 million?> I hope that is a rhetorical question. I sure don't know where Yahoo gets its data. I did check Zacks and they show a steadily increasing number of shares with their latest number being 80.65m shares giving a book value of 2.55B.
