Scary. I'm starting to THINK in Canadian dollars! Yeah, I got it at o.lenp. Thanks. Observation: as a function of Dan's luring me into this den of black pitch, (as opposed to "pitch black", which is a whole other thing) I've now become fascinated by companies so new and young they're still, "over the horizon", as I have come to call it. They aren't in plain sight yet...not out there where you can see 'em. So, understanding this is VERY BAD FORM I nevertheless can't resist pointing one and all toward an issue I found in the STOCK OF THE DAY thread called Chancellor Group (CHAG). Fascinating story. They find private companies that have made a mess of things but have potential. They then do a "Deal with the Devil". In exchange for saving their butts (and making them rich), they clean up the company, take it public, and then exact a price of oohhh, say 400,000 shares for their trouble. I love it! It's diabolical! But I'm still watching. Haven't bought yet. When I discovered it, it was at $4.25 (two weeks ago). It's gone to $6.10, and is now at $5.50. (reportedly a mutual fund mega-order shot the price up) Have fun!
