I'm 51. Old enough to have paid my dues, but too young to have much hope that I'll participate in the benefits of club membership before the club is disbanded. Your new post tells a very different and more detailed story....to what degree it's an accurate prediction of what will happen is not clear...frankly it sounds a might extreme and global, particularly as it pertains to SS, which has a far smaller unfunded liability than Medicare... There are a lot of myths that have grown up around the development of this country. However, one of them is not that we are pessimistic quitters who see gloom and doom around every corner. On the contrary, Americans are known for their can do spirit and resiliency.........and those qualities are very real. Nonetheless, gloom and doom has become all pervasive. It is really starting to hurt us. Fortunately, this too shall pass.
