I can see how Doom could do that to you. It pans around so quickly that you could get motion sickness real easy.

I'm not a big fan. It got boring REAL fast. Like jhild, I too was doing "research"<G>

I prefer the puzzle/strategy/mystery type games.

I've got a demo of "Zork nemesis" that's fun. Have you (or anybody) played?
I'm curious if the full version holds up.

BTW-Last I looked the two "Shivers" games were still dirt cheap. I bought Shivers One for 10 bucks which was an absolute steal considering the level of gameplay. It's a fun game and has good graphics/ sound/interface etc.

I have no idea why they are selling it for so cheap, but I would have gladly paid full price for it. I enjoyed it alot.

Shivers II cost a bit more, but it works much better than One, has a good story/plot line and I like the way they pulled off the 360degree interface.
Makes you feel like you're actually physically moving about the room.
Has good puzzles too. Good and hard, but not impossible.

I played Gabriel Knight and some of the puzzles were downright impossible. It wasn't that they were so hard, they were just TOO esoteric.
I'm a diehard and simply WILL NOT cheat, but I had to cheat on a couple puzzles in that game.

Luckily there were only a few of 'em like that and the look/interface of the game is cool enough to make up for the stupid puzzles.
