am somewhat surprised by the strength to the minute of very 'sick' and very expensive euro relative to the very 'safe' and already cheapened dollar, historically speaking

am also pleasantly surprised by the resilience of gold in view of headwind euro down and uphill dollar up

unless and until the euro cracks in some major way, say to parity, i fear more for what the market may be instead thinking about the dollar than anything it might do to the euro

wonder if the november super committee discourse would make any difference as the debt ceiling became a fuss back in august

maybe folks have been too busy trying to deal with europe and forgot about the usa

2011 has so far been very interesting

we can start to look forward to 2012
