You argue irrelevant points, or points that aren't at issue.

There is a difference between irrelevance and the inability to see the relevance. Declaring something to be irrelevant without a rationale is no different from any other bald claim.

As I previously said, pre-op imaging is a form of diagnosis.

Diagnosis precedes a decision on treatment. You don't get to be pre-op until a diagnosis has been made and a treatment, surgery, selected. "Simple reason" could tell you that.

Obviously solely for the sake of argument. What is seeking argument when there isn't anything to argue about?

Another sign of experience with developing and supporting reasoned positions is recognition of the difference between argumentation, the methodology, and arguing/quarreling.
