Yes, I know. I have followed politics closely for 45 years and the Republican's have always been the party of the rich and always pulled the same trick i.e. spend all the money on the rich when they have power and leave nothing for the poor when they are done and yell spending cuts when out of office.

Bush took it to the max.

I still remember a rich friend of mine in college saying to me: The Republican's are for the rich and the Democtrats are for the poor and I am rich, therefore I am a Republican. He was also a sociopath. Fun guy to be around though?

A perfect example is Casper Weinberger. When he was the Seretary of Health and Human Services he was called "Cap the Knife"; but when he became the Secretary of Defense he increased spending by 100 billion a year. It is a legal way to funnel money to his buddies in big corporations like Flour and Haiburton, etc.

What is new, is that no one in the right wing thought they could boldly tell the American people what they were doing and still win. But that is exacty what Bush did. When he gave his multi trillion dollar tax cuts to the rich, Bush said: "I am giving it to the rich because they paid the taxes.

So embolen by their ability to steal in the open and trash the middle class and poor in the open the right wing has run amok and still the Republcian's are winning elections.

It seems half our population is brain dead.
