Westell just lost the relationship with Siemens, the very promising VDSL relationship with NEC and of course the ownership of Amatis intellectual property. I think the people who see the breakup of the AMTX/Westell merger agreement as a positive underestimate how much future potential really Amati had. With its new relationship with TI Westell is in a better position than it was before the Amati merger agreement but it is now back to its former status of a equipment manufacturer that will have serious competition from Alcatel, Siemens, Fujitsu and a lot of other would be contenders.
