Direct Registration System - protection for the investor who is concerned over the financial health of the financial agent holding your investments. sec.gov dtcc.com news.goldseek.com See the 3rd link toward the bottom for how to do this within an IRA. I am not concerned over Fidelity or TD Ameritrade, but I would like to understand my options. Does anyone have experience with Direct Registration within an IRA? The issuer of your stock must be set up to handle Direct Registration. I haven't found a way to determine this other than contacting the company.
