This Wall Street Journal article describes timing of the Silicon Graphics announcement on Monday: Dow Jones News Service -- February 23, 1996 Silicon Graphics Sets 'Major Strategic Announcement' Monday NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Silicon Graphics Inc. (SGI) set an analyst meeting and a press conference Monday morning to disclose a ''major strategic announcement.' ' Representatives at the company weren't immediately able to provide further information. The company's stock was halted on the Pacific Stock Exchange and made unavailable for late trading on the New York Stock Exchange shortly after 4:30 p.m. EST. A Silicon Graphics Inc. (SGI) spokesman said the company would make no further announcement this afternoon. He said the company would issue a press release on the news sometime Monday morning. The analyst meeting is set for 8 a.m. EST and the press conference for 9:30 a. m. Monday morning.
