It is truly amazing we are even having to have this discussion. Of course it should be taught in school it is basic science. Evolution is not a theory any more than the earth is round is a theory. Evolution is understood to the degree they can tell how far apart humans are genetically based on their DNA. The science channel just had a great series called "mutant planet". The first two shows showed how evolution shaped the different animals of Japan and Madagascar. But if someone cannot understand evolution, I guess they just cannot understand it. Evolution is like probability, some get it and some don't. Probably fruitless to debate them. <<In light of the recent decision of the Kansas School Board, I thought it would be enlightening to hear people's views on the theory of evolution and its place, if any, in the public school system. However, please restrain from referring to another post as a "work of Satan," demonic, or any of the other labels usually applied in the discussion of this topic. Happy posting!>>
