My son told me yesterday and now the local networks are reporting that the Chancellor intends to resign. Actually, it is the police we need to discipline. Those folks need to be fired and should never get any police job in the US. Violence against peaceful protests should be dealt with a very heavy hand similar to what we do to those who obstruct police officers doinf their jobs. It needs to be equal treatment and the police is not above the law.

I repeat, what irked me is the video that you posted which showed the peaceful nature of the protest where the Chancellor walked past them and went home. And hen the next day, these burly men, thinking no end of themselves, behaving like the Blackwater folks in the Iraqi square, come down and sweep on these peaceful students who are under pressure probably because some of them have unemployed parents who cannot foot their bill anymore. This is nonsense.

We need to discipline the police first;. If they cannot handle the pressure of their job, they need to get out and find a new one
