Yes, you are correct that the sort order does not update dynamically. I find dynamic sorting quite annoying, though I probably will add it as an optional feature if I ever get back to working on this thing. :) The dynamic sorting adds significant overhead, though, and the idea of Scammer is to be lean and mean.

The main advantage over RealTick III is the ability to handle very large lists of symbols, so that you can rank, say, the top 1000 NASDAQ stocks. RTIII board views are limited to only a couple of hundred symbols. Scammer has additional memory capacity to deal with large lists AND is more efficient at retrieving the data, which makes this practical.

I need to add more features to help day-traders, such as the ability to see the difference from a particular time of day. (Currently, you can only see the difference from close or open.) There seems to be a lot of interest in being able to discover "what stocks are up over the last hour", etc.

One good way to use Scammer is to open it a few minutes before the market opens on a large list, and do a descending sort on the "gap" field. This will show you stocks that are gapping open.
