App Store - TWiT Netcast Network

TWiT powered by Mediafly allows you to watch & listen to the entire TWiT.tv Network - at home, at work and on the go. The TWiT network is one of the most renown tech news networks with popular shows, such as This WEEK in TECH, MacBreak Weekly, Security Now & More

If you're interested in keeping up with the latest tech gadgets or just want to follow breaking developments in the tech industry, watching This Week in Tech is a must. Predominately a talk show, Leo Laporte of Tech TV fame hosts the show and does an excellent job of moderating discussions on a wide range of topics and issues as they arise in the pop tech culture.

The TWiT Network also hosts other shows, mostly centered around tech as well. Some are all audio while others are available with both audio and video feeds.

This app brings the shows to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad over wifi and in my limited experience has worked very well. The video is high definition and, with my 3mbps Internet connection, feeds uninterrupted.

The shows can be long. The one I watched last night was almost 2 hours, but it was very entertaining and informative, despite having been produced on October 16. Leo's guests were John C. Dvorak, Robert Scoble and Om Malik. The shows are produced weekly and are very timely in their subject matter. [EDIT: After 2 hours, I still had over 70% battery left.]

And it's FREE. The shows are ad supported just like network TV, only the ads only take up a very small part of the feed.
