Currying favor with the powers that be? Desmond Tutu is plainly & directly indicting the system with that statement in the same spirit that Jesus indicted the priest caste & Pharisees of his own time , how blind can you get ? lol...
This inadequacy of perception comes from cutting & pasting "for the cause" too much and not using your mind , heart & that innate intuition that infinte , omnipresent , omniscience Nature endowed you with .

This is exactly what Jesus has been lauded for doing & drawing attention to all these centuries ... oh , my mistake
