OR... an eagle is just about to swoop down and sink its long talons into you in a death vice grip and carry you off for dinner ...or bear or tiger hiding in the bush to deadly stinging biting insects or snakes . Nor just from that which moves are there threats but there are poisoness plants which if eaten cause painful death and most of the time you would be half startving . Just a trip down to the water source and you could be eaten , death & threat everywhere .

Not only do mortal threats to the body or tribe come from without , there are illnesses & disease that rise from a myriad of reasons out of nowhere & strike without notice , again agonizing death & helplessness ...or parasites within that killed slowy . The there are the elements & raw nature herself , draught, thunder lightning flood. freezing cold .

Most of what you call "you" and the consciousness you possess comes out of ages of slow transformations where those individuals dealing with these daily threats from being eaten to extended painful dying agonies over & over again , life was never a garden of eden for 10's of 1000's of generations of our ancestors . Those pains & hurts were terrible & there was no science to allieviate pain , deaths were often excruciating , festering , rotting deaths . Repeated a million times over and multiplied thru countless millenia of generations and they have the fosssil record to prove that .

Larmarckism? You do know what you call someone who has all the simple answers ?
