If I were presently invested in the DD sector, I would probably sit tight at this point. I think the downside risks are now at a minimum. Of course, this assumes that you can't find a better place to invest that will earn you money while the DD companies get their problems fixed.

I don't see why the Year 2000 problem will require the need for more drives. Isn't this a matter of upgrading the installed software in order to manage the change from 19xx to 20xx?
