AMAT: buy at $10? Since April 2009, $10 has been a support line. The dividend yield is 3.2% at that price. 4% yield is my threshold for adding stocks to my dividend portfolio; that would require a $8 price for AMAT. My main concern about buying AMAT at $10, is that we are still early in the downcycle, and the SOX could easily fall a lot more before the cycle bottoms. Conclusion: I'll wait a bit more, before buying. If AMAT stops going down, while the SOX maintains a downtrend, I'll consider starting to buy. For now, I maintain my opinion that we'll see AMAT at $8 before this downcycle ends.
