The fact that the candidates are calling Sarah Palin for her endorsement demonstrates the influence that she has with the Republicans and independents as well as Democrats who bought into the Obama story by mistake and the unidentified Tea Party.

Gingrich is a strong possibiity. Gingrich came in with the Reagan Revolution in the late 1970's and the 1980's. Gingrich along with a lot of other Reagan supporters built the Republican Party taking it from the telephone booth to being a major force in politics.

There are still a lot of those Reagan people around and they vote.
