You are just arguing for the sake of being disputatious. It's obvious that a smoothed 100 year Dow chart shows the point. This is a chat room exchange of ideas and information not a scholastic peer reviewed comprehensive report - which would take 100 pages. <especially since you didn't include any part of that chart to show actual inflation - both CPI and 'corrected'. > You almost certainly know what the charts look like so what would be the point? If you don't know and are curious - there's a solution for that.

I didn't "avoid" that. The fact that the kitchen sink and every other piece of information in the world wasn't included doesn't mean they were avoided: <you also avoided noting that the current large 'spikes' going on for months were not present during the '66 cycle as they are now >

I don't care about '66 and it's you who have got onto '66. I have been looking at hundreds of years of smoothed peaks and the implications for climate. Check out the Maunder Minimum and The Little Ice Age. Cold in 1812? Sure was in Moscow for the French - they should have counted sun spots before setting out.

Reality is always much more fun than bung theories such as Global Warming due to anthropogenic CO2. So far my predictions have been right and their's have been wrong. They are now reduced to saying that freezing cold and snow is Global Warming but they call it climate disruption instead [coz it's obviously not warm].

Now we have another tranche of emails from Climategate out, just in time for the Doomsters latest jamboree for fun in the sun, wagging work, chatting up the girls, eating and drinking and staying in nice hotels in nice places. They create dirty great carbon footprints to get there too. Hypocrisy writ large. Typical communism.

<Three themes are emerging from the newly released emails: (1) prominent scientists central to the global warming debate are taking measures to conceal rather than disseminate underlying data and discussions; (2) these scientists view global warming as a political “cause” rather than a balanced scientific inquiry and (3) many of these scientists frankly admit to each other that much of the science is weak and dependent on deliberate manipulation of facts and data.
