Been a GG for seven years now and expecting two more this coming year. One due on Valentines Day and the other due on May 5th. The latter is the one who lost her newborn last March due to a knotted umbilical cord. She and Dusty are looking forward to the addition to their family.

No, I really don't have bucket list to speak of. Yet i do have a desire to visit Monaco and the Casino there. At five p.m you must be dressed in Black Tie to gain entrance. Would love to see all the bejeweled people at their finest. My husband will not travel to Europe or any other foreign Country, so doubt this desire will happen. And with the world situation and terrorist striking everywhere over there will think a while about going over there for sure if I could.

However, back in 1988 I did travel with three high school friends to the Orient for ten days without having to worry about any terrorist back then. One of them worked for American Express and made all our travel plans. She also handled all our fees and took care of our baggage while traveling. That helped make the trip an easier one. None of us took much cash and used our credit cards for purchases. We had a great time shopping until we dropped. We all took one change of clothes and decided to buy what we would wear there, so we would have room for all the purchases when we returned home. Little did we know how much we would purchase and had to buy two soft suit cases each to get back with the items we bought. We wore none of our fine jewelry, only our wedding bands and bought inexpensive fake watches the day we got there, so if any of us were careless and lost them it would not be a great loss to us. If I remember correctly paid twelve dollars for them. We made it a rule that none us would shop in any store unless one other of us went with them and then would meet up with the other two at a particular time to continue shopping elsewhere. If somehow we got separated we would walk to the corner as a police man was on every corner and wait by them to be found. We found that worked well for us being in a foreign country. We were the "Fearless Four" we thought.

I usually wear a coral color nail polish and my manicurist suggested I change colors. I looked over at all the nail polishes and the blue caught my eye so told her it was my choice as it is my favorite color. She commented that she thought it would look well with the colors I usually wear. More than anything it was a huge change for me but after she finished several of the other manicurist came over and smiled their approval. I have been going to that nail salon for a couple of years and they all know me well. Then Wednesday I had my hair cut shorter and felt like a new person, nails and all. My husband smiled and complimented me on both changes. I have not felt uncomfortable about the color, but will change it in two weeks. It was a fun thing for me to do.

My children have taken over our holiday meals for us and it has helps me feel relaxed at them with not having to do any of the preparation or clean up. I do offer but they tell me it is their turn to do it all just like I used to do when they and I were younger and before my Cancer surgery. I really appreciate their efforts and they go all out decorating for the event. They are included in my Thanksgiving blessings. My way of helping is with the food costs. That is the easiest part without having to purchase it all or take it home and get it all put away. Cindy had plastic bowls for everyone to take left overs home with them and colorful Thanksgiving bags to put them in. She is just so organized and thoughtful and everything was ready and there for the call to the dining tables. Of course my grandson did his share of the entertaining and clean up.

Time to clean up and get dressed for dinner. Food right now is last thing on my mind after the big feast yesterday.
