Many people become disabled by the age of 64 not by choice but for some reason such as accidents or incurable disease.

In the states with the highest rates of disabled such as West Virginia which is next door to Virginia life is not easy-------which is why the population is so low there. West Virginia is a beautiful state albeit a very hard state for people to grow old in-----------mountainous, extremely cold winters which restricts mobility------and flooding which occurs regularly.

West Virginia also has one of the highest rates of arthritic disease which in it's advanced form is crippling and is not restricted to old people.

Look at the map, the states with the highest rates of disability according to the Social Security Administration are the mid-Atlantic States-------from Maine to Miss. and Alabama.

Even the fact that they are being considered for disability indicates that they had jobs which at one point were subject to Social Security. In other words they payed into the system.

I don't know but could it be that by the time there is a court case to be reviewed their conditions were so obvious that this Judge or any Judge would rule 85% of the time for the applicant.

What I don't understand is why any disability case for SS has to be submitted to the courts. Should this not be a decision made by the doctor who ?
