Remember when you once told me that the empty Chinese city of Ordos would eventually fill up and prosper because of all that mining they were going to do.

Seems that the price of the average home on that empty, but beautiful, planned community have declined by 60-70%

I also recall you told me that most of that RE was paid for in cash, with minimal debt.. representing the savings of quite a few Chinese "savers".

Well.. those who "saved" their money by speculating on Urdos property, just lost 60-70% of their savings, right?

But maybe now there are some chinese who can actually afford to move in.. Those who didn't participate in the Loan Shark development schemes.
