longnshort, could go on and on.
Sounds to me that he has done what he stated and intended to do. In my opinion, he was therefore successful in achieving his goals. <gg> Again, he outsmarted the opposition.
Bye, the way the President's inauguration is on January 20, 2013. How much of the Federal Healthcare bill will be implemented by that time?
Already we see doctors becoming employees of hospitals rather than keeping their private practice, hospitals digitizing their paper files, students having up to age 26 having healthcare coverage under their parents policy, individuals who have pre-existing conditions being covered, the medicare D prescription donut hole being closed to 50% beginning January 1, 2012, and 30 million additional individuals being covered, etc. And, are you seriously wanting to take away those rights of these individuals as potential voters!!! These individuals will be driven into the Obama's voting camp.
The US Supreme Court will only have a decision in June 2012, one way or the other, with it consequences. Most of the healthcare bill will already be implemented with little chance of being totally reversed. it only takes 41 minority votes in the Senate to block any vote of the presiding party. Result, again gridlock!! The parties must come to the view, "we must compromise to get anything accomplished."
If the Federal budget financial system is not resolved by the Republicans and Democrat's, the 50% cuts stated in the papers will have a tremendous impact on the military and social services, and possibly putting us into a recession. Obama may not be re-elected but remember whoever is President will still inherit gridlock to get anything past the Senate. Plus, the States will be in a complicated mess. |
