Also the performance of java is poor as it is an interpreted language. Java has it's place but let's get real it will not replace windows. Rhapsody from Apple may make some dent next year IF (it's a big IF, they deliver and Windows 98 gets delayed again). Allegedly Rhapsody will run on Intel machines as well as power PC mac's. I certainly however would not advise shorting Microsoft at this time.
