Isn't this a matter of upgrading the installed software in order to manage the change from 19xx to 20xx?>> The new software will have to be tested in a test environment and cerified to be running correctly before any IT manager who wants to keep his job would put it into production. So, this means extra hardware to run the test systems until put into production. Where I work ( big IT installation ), I've just been told that my department has an extra $1,000,000.00 to spend on spare hardware before the end of the year and they want recommendations. Hmmm, how about a million dollars worth of Cheetah drives?
