Have you noticed how Obama lectures the people as if we are children? I believe that is how he sees us. That he is the wise fatherly figure that is here guide us and take care of us. But we have to keep in line....or else! And I don't think that he is too far off base with his core voting population. Remember, these are people who want the government to take care of their needs. They want to be told what to do. They don't want big brother, they want Big Daddy. They eat it up when Obama chastises the misbehaving 1) corporate executives, 2) uncompromising republican politicians 3) Fox news, 4) Christians, 5) Gun Owners, 6) etc. etc. etc.... I believe he is trying to win. He just doesn't understand that the adult population (by maturity and willingness to stand on their own two feet, not age) don't want Big Daddy Obama to take care of them. They can do fine all by themselves. I do not think Obama is capable of understanding this.
