Bob, we are already seeing enough selling that I doubt we will see a 9-1 day. As I post this we are currently only 87% up on the Nasdaq but who knows.

When I look at sentiment I see we are still working off plenty of pessimism so that's good for making a marking bottom. When I look at our favorite sector of stocks semiconductors and semiconductor equipment I see plenty of selling has already taken place.

But and there is always a but isn't there; We have yet to see the kind of market wide selling that takes down all sectors. Throughout this market downturn consumer non cyclicals and utilities have remained strong. At a real long term bottom every sector has been hammered.

I mean we could bottom now but if we do we actually saw the low in early October. Up volume in October though was far from convincing however. It was no even higher than the previous months down volume for a lot of major market charts.

Bottom line this rally that started today could have some legs but I personally doubt that we have seen the lows for the market downturn. Nothing that has happened since the October bottom has been good enough to convince me.

As always I reserve the right to be wrong as I know the market will do what it does with no regard whatsoever to my opinion.
