>>>Isn't that the case with all entertainment companies? <<<
Yep, pretty much the case. The only one in the drivers seat are the big Networks ABC, CBC, NBC, FOX, UPN. If the ratings are not good they can the show right away.

>>>The upside, though, is that with all the episodes they have, they can package Reboot and BW and sydicate it around the world. These "residual" incomes are great --no expenses, they drop to the bottom line. That's why you want to have some ownership.
While they don't own them 100% (nor did they risk 100% of the production money on them), they have ownership pieces of both.<<<

Reboot and BW are already in syndication, all the old shows seem to
be replayed on YTV and probably elsewhere. I can't find when the new shows will be on anymore when all it says in the TV guide is REBOOT and BeastWars. If what you indicated that the next Q is going to be flat, then it would seem that the syndication REVs are not much.

>>Also, to the extent you have ratings backing you up, you can get pretty good terms on producing more episodes.<<<

Every show has its lifespan even if the ratings were good.
Cheers, Cosby, MASH, Magnum PI, Star Trek, STNG, etc.
