So not many Americans vote and those that do are largely voting in ignorance. No wonder our leadership is a mess.

Let me tell you another factoid that I just learned recently. Some of my German friends are in their 30s. Both parents work. That's highly unusual in Germany. Usually the wife stays home with the kids. Consequently, the wife is getting a lot of flack from the relatives.

So what does that mean when the wife stays home in terms of the standard of living for most Germans? Typically it means they buy a house later in life than Americans. However, it also means their lives are not as harried as a typical American family. The wife gets a number of chores done that frees up time for the husband.

Truth is we maintain a crazy pace in this country...........making it hard to spend the time needed to watch what's happening with Congress et al.
