This is a value thread, but the value is frequently dictated by macro events. I find it astonishing that there is a lot more coverage of the various Occupy....s than MF global. It should not take so many weeks to determine what has happened with funds in customer accounts to a regulated entity like MF Global. There is now information that futures and security funds have been commingled with MF Global funds and this had been going on for weeks and not days as previously reported. This is evidence to me that:
a. the regulators have not been doing their jobs.
b. regulations need to be examined and changed so that whatever MF Global did doesnt happen again
c. law enforcement needs to arrest former senior management, take away their passports and file criminal charges.

In times like this we should remember the saying that the market can stay irrational a lot longer than people can stay solvent.
