average chinese family saves 25% of income, and spends 25% on food. so food inflation can do another 100%, all exchange rates being equal and take-homes being equal, to bring china family to global norm.

so you are saying the rmb should rise against the dollar or fall? or both since you do not seem to be able to make up your mind?
