I can see where this country is going... first of all, within the next 100 years, this country will have deteriorated into separate regions of varying ethnicity and relative risk and safety... this country will look more and more like it did in the 1840's, with no centralized ruling government, but clumps of States that band together for security and economic reasons... the most dangerous territories will again be the same badlands of the old west, e.g., the southwest including Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and Southern California... travel on the roads in those areas will be extremely dangerous with bands of gangs and outlaws living along the highways ready to ambush travelers for their valuables and lives... the further east you go, the safer the roads, but the overcrowding will be unbearable... people in the cities will have their own gardens to grow and raise their own crops since the distribution of goods, including food, will not be reliable for long distances... the population overall will be severely reduced due to famine and disease... it will not be a friendly place, and clearly federal entitlements will not exist, they will become a quaint memory of a bygone era, the good ol' days...
