Why are you singling out the iPhone?

Apple manufactures the only phone OS directly complicit in these shenanigans, so Apple should be singled out. This reflects, like GPSgate, a lack of respect for customer privacy, until Apple's hands were cought in the cookie jar.

Sure, it is bad that certain Android handsets had CarrierIQ installed by their carrier, but Google itself has no business relationship with CarrierIQ and no hand in this matter. Google is not the culprit. Apple is directly complicit.

So much for the fanboys claim that when you buy an iPhone, it isn't preloaded with third party software. This is of the worst kind... it spies on you, acts like a rootkit and hides its process, and can't be removed.

As stated before, Windows Phone simply does not support CarrierIQ; and Nokia has never distributed a handset with CarrierIQ either. :)
